> AI Folders is a free, open-source browser extension that organizes your AI conversations into custom folders and provides a reusable prompt library, available across 18 AI services (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok, Perplexity, Mistral, Meta AI, Qwen, Z.ai, Kimi, Poe, Duck.ai, You.com, Pi, Character.AI, Baidu) and local LLMs.

AI Folders solves the problem of losing track of conversations across multiple AI chat services. Users can save, categorize, and retrieve any conversation from a unified side-panel, and inject saved prompts directly into any AI chat with a keyboard shortcut.

## Technical details

- Built with vanilla JS and Chrome Extension Manifest V3
- Storage: Chrome sync storage with LZ-String compression (chunked to stay under quota)
- No external servers, no analytics, no account
- Permissions: storage, contextMenus, scripting, tabs (used only for injection on AI sites)
- Content scripts are injected only on supported AI domains

## Privacy
